When you are playing online poker, it is normal for a good hand to give you a big satisfaction; in that single moment you have instant gratification. But then, to play the next game you must wait for a seat to open up in your game of choice: 6-max $100NL hold'em. This minute of waiting becomes the longest sixty seconds of your life as you prepare yourself to take your place in your new table.

Tough Start

In any game, your elation may sometimes be quickly eclipsed by disappointment. Occasionally, if you call or you bluff with the worst hand you could have an interesting and positive image on your table, but would nevertheless have a very bad beginning, and once you get off this becomes a very difficult situation to avoid. If you let this happen in your first 10-15 minutes at a table it may become a very poor play session.

You don't have to be thwarted by the money you have already lost or wonder at this point how you could win with your poker hand; your only worry should be the psychological edge that your opponents currently have over you because they are mentally alert.

If all the tables at the lobby are full and there's no other 6-max $100NL hold'em open, you lamentably have to put yourself on the 6-max $100NL hold'em waiting list.

Just Leave

When you are playing and it doesn't look good for you, my recommendation is to be honest to yourself about your situation and leave; maybe you need to find a different table. When you think about it, there are many sites, with many tables at each site; there's no need to fight against bad game. Many players continue playing on tables that donâ€™t give them any good results, and that will only cause them wear which turns into more mistakes. So maybe all you need is to leave that table and give yourself a moment to clear your mind. Then you can enter a new table with a refreshed mindset.

Discipline

The key to becoming a profitable poker player is discipline. A disciplined poker player is not a compulsive gambler, nor a player who plays beyond his bankroll. You need to accept that there are rules you must always respect, and whenever the grass is not green where you are, you can always get up and find some new pastures.
